Let me start by saying how well built and sturdy this tank mount is. The cuts and bends are perfect, the aluminum is high quality, and the assembly is completely flush. I looked into dozens of other options before coming across the RPD mount and after receiving and unboxing I can say this product lives up to its name. PRECISION DESIGN couldn't explain it any better. You can see the attention to detail immediately and the tolerances on each part are so tight it almost feels like a solid billet piece. SS hardware, multiple mounting locations, and even pre-drilled accessory mount holes. The quality is top notch and blows away the competition. Other guys in my crew run everything from American Adventure Labs, Al-Pro, FlameKing, and Exped Essentials...and while they are all good products, the RPG mount is in a different class.
Now the kicker...Ratha is obsessed with design and providing the best customer service I have come across. I always prefer buying from independent fabricators who do the design, cutting, manufacturing themselves because of the pride and quality that comes through in the work. During the design process I reached out inquiring about compatibility with other tanks. Ratha listened to the feedback, went out and bought different tanks, and within days had design improvements to account for any differences, making this mount truly universal. I have fit an ignik, flameking, and hitchfire tank in this with zero clearance issues and it holds them all perfectly tight. The bottom lip guard upgrade was a great improvement to an already best in class aesthetic.
